A Stanford Engineer Is Making Stretchable, Flexible Skin That's Straight Out Of Westworld

HBOAsk Zhenan Bao why she went from designing batteries to creating synthetic, human-like skin and she'll give you a simple answer. "I decided it was time to start helping people," Bao, a chemical engineering professor at Stanford, tells Business Insider. Bao's 17-member Stanford team is developing is flexible, stretchable skin that can sense touch and temperature.
