Yesterday, a new rumor surfaced that the highly-anticipated first trailer from Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut with The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies, which hits theaters December 17, exactly one year and one day before J.J. Abrams' sci-fi adventure debuts in theaters. Today, however, /Film is reporting that the trailer will not merely debut alongside the final Hobbit movie, with the site teasing Disney's "bigger plans" for the trailer premiere.Whatever those "bigger plans" are remains to be seen, but the site speculates that it could debut on TV first, using the eagerly-awaited trailer to boost ratings for Disney-owned networks such as ABC, Disney XD or even ESPN.
