Chris Quinn, R-168, of Middletown, was surrounded by most of his family when he was sworn into office Thursday, but the memory of his biggest supporter was at the core as he placed his hand on the Bible that had always been on her bedside table.Formalizing the position he won in a special election July 12, the ceremony was both momentous and sad for him as his mom, Hope Quinn, died only eight days earlier.
