A federal law enforcement official says a man accused of killing one Pennsylvania state trooper and seriously injuring another during an ambush last month was armed when he was captured by U.S. marshals. The official in Washington wasn’t authorized to discuss the circumstances of Eric Frein’s arrest and spoke to The Associated Press anonymously. Authorities in Pennsylvania confirmed they had Frein in custody Thursday following a seven-week hunt for him. Authorities have called Frein a survivalist who had a vendetta against law enforcement.
