A man from Farmington Hills and a woman from Shelby Township are among 17 Detroit-area suspects charged in a string of smash-and-grab jewelry store robberies in several states outside Michigan.U.S. District Attorney Barbara McQuade made the announcement Friday flanked by law enforcement officers from the FBI, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, Royal Oak's chief of police and others whose agencies were part of a multi-jurisdictional task force.
