Another Coach Swatted: Denver Nuggets Fire Coach Brian Shaw

The Denver Nuggets have fired coach Brian Shaw after 1½ seasons.

Senh: The triangle offense takes another hit. Derek Fisher couldn't get it to work for the New York Knicks. Brian Shaw, with a season and a half under his belt, fared just as poorly. One could make the case that New York didn't have the talent, outside of Carmelo Anthony, to make it work, but Shaw did. The Nuggets, under former coach George Karl, won 57 games before Shaw took over. The players were the same before the recent trades. So far, it seems, only Phil Jackson can make the triangle offense work.

Source: Nelson expected to leave Warriors Monday

Source: Nelson expected to leave Warriors Monday

Coach Don Nelson is expected to part ways with the Golden State Warriors on Monday, an NBA source told The Associated Press, possibly ending the career of the league's victory leader.

Senh: During his first year as coach, he did a superb job. They made it to the playoffs and pulled off a major upset by beating the Dallas Mavericks in the first round. Since then, they have steadily declined. You can't blame him. They gutted his roster. They inexplicably traded Jason Richardson, their franchise player, after that season.

Hawks dismiss coach Mike Woodson after 6 seasons

The Atlanta Hawks have let coach Mike Woodson go after leading the team to their third straight playoffs.

Senh: That didn't take long. He's just the scapegoat. He did the best he could with the talent he had. They got swept by Orlando, reigning Eastern Conference Champions and just a better team. The coaching isn't the issue here. It's the talent. The Atlanta Hawks just didn't have enough talent to beat Orlando. They need a good post player/defender. Well, pretty much every team needs one of those.
