NBA Champions: Lebron James & Dwayne Wade

Between the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder, I was rooting for the team in a small town. I was also rooting against Lebron James.

With series MVP LeBron James leading the way with a triple-double, the Heat finish off the Thunder 121-106 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, now 2011-12 NBA champions.

Senh: Here's my response: "Oh well, James finally got his championship. He definitely earned it. He’s improved his game. He’s a better post player, a better shooter, a better defender, and a better clutch player. He’s improved all facets of his game at a time when he’s already considered the best. But having grown up in a small town, I can’t forgive him for leaving Cleveland for greener pastures in Miami. Sorry, just can’t. Chris Webber, when he ws entering his prime, didn’t leave Sacramento to get a championship with another team. There’s something to be said for loyalty (and max contracts)."

James scores 29, Heat rally past Thunder 91-85

It's there every day for LeBron James and the Heat - the sting of last year's NBA Finals loss. Two more wins and it will be a distant memory. James had 29 points and 14 rebounds, and the Miami Heat took a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals with a 91-85 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night. Dwyane Wade had 25 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Heat, who were in this same position through three games last year, then didn't win again against the Dallas Mavericks.

Durant powers Thunder past LeBron's Heat 105-94

Kevin Durant delivered the fourth quarter LeBron James never could last year. So forget those NBA Finals jitters at the start. Durant and the young Thunder showed they have already figured out how to finish. Durant scored 17 of his 36 points in another nightmarish final period for James and his team, leading a Thunder storm that overwhelmed the Heat and gave Oklahoma City a 105-94 victory over Miami in Game 1 on Tuesday night.

NBA Finals: I Was Rooting for Old Fart vs. Old Fart

I know it would probably be the most boring NBA Finals ever, but I was kinda rooting for the old farts - San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics. I wouldn’t mind if either wins another title, especially the Boston Celtics. I like these teams because there aren’t anyone with a super-huge ego, except for maybe Paul Pierce - but compared to Lebron James, it’s pretty small.

LeBron James had 34 points and 10 assists, Dwyane Wade scored 19 points and the Miami Heat avenged a loss at Oklahoma City last week, rallying to beat the Thunder 98-93 on Wednesday night for their 17th straight home victory.
