Dwight Howard traded to Lakers in 4-team deal

The deal means the Lakers get Howard; the Magic get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, just drafted Moe Harkless (No. 15 pick in this draft) and a first round pick from each of the three other teams; the Sixers get Andrew Bynum and take on Jason Richardson and his contract; the Nuggets get Andre Iguodala. That varies from the original report but fits with reports that Pau Gasol is not part of the deal. Expect some changes in the final form, but that seems to be the core of it.

Senh: This is just not fair. I thought the new CBA is supposed to keep trades like this from happening. I guess not. Essentially, the Los Angeles Lakers only had to give up Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard. Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, and Dwight Howard. My goodness. Respectively, the best shooting point guard, the best closer, and the most dominant center. Just hand them another title now.

 

Nuggets Beat Rockets: Aaron Afflalo, Ty Lawson Lead Denver To Key Win In Houston

Arron Afflalo scored 26 points, Ty Lawson had 25 and the Denver Nuggets continued their playoff push with a 105-102 victory over the fading Houston Rockets on Monday night. Al Harrington added 15 points and Andre Miller had 13 assists for the Nuggets, who swept back-to-back games with the Rockets, the team directly behind them in the Western Conference standings.
