What happened next, according to her family, was that she was sexually assaulted by multiple young men, who took photos and circulated them in their high school of more than 1,000 students. Not long afterward, Audrie, devastated and hopeless, committed suicide.

Grand jury to investigate Steubenville rape case

A grand jury will investigate whether anyone else should be charged in the events surrounding the August sexual assault of a 16-year-old, Ohio's attorney general said after a judge convicted two teenagers of rape in the incident. "This community needs assurance that no stone has been left unturned in our search for the truth." Attorney General Mike DeWine said Sunday.
