PR guru Max Clifford has been charged with 11 counts of indecent assault against seven teenage girls, including one who was aged 14 at the time, Scotland Yard said tonight. The force said Clifford, who answered police bail today, faces charges linked to girls aged between 14 and 19 between 1966 and 1985.

A 73-year-old woman was sexually assaulted Wednesday in New York's Central Park in the middle of the day, police said. The victim was bird watching in the vicinity of 74th Street and Central Park West, also known as Strawberry Fields, just before noon when her alleged attacker approached her. The woman told police they exchanged words and he sexually assaulted her.

A 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the Temple Hills area as she was walking home from school Thursday afternoon, authorities said. The girl, who lived in the Temple Hills area, was walking alone in the 3100 block of Scottish Drive when a boy who appeared to be between 14 and 16-years-old grabbed her and forced her into a nearby wooded area, police said. The boy sexually assaulted the 10-year-old until he was scared away by people who heard the girl’s cries for help and went into the woods, authorities said.

Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly said the officer, who officials said was caught Friday during a rape, may be responsible for unsolved attacks.

Officer Michael V. Pena was accused of grabbing a woman in Upper Manhattan and showing her his gun before attacking her, the authorities said.
