Now it is official. Gary Ross is not returning to direct The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, for Lionsgate. In a statement released to the press, Ross cited the tight schedule as the main reason for him turning down the project. Below is an excerpt of his full statement.

 

UPDATE: Christopher Smith To Direct 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies'?

Quiet Earth says they have received a tip from an "insider" over at Lionsgate indicating that British director Christopher Smith (Severance, Creep, Triangle, Black Death) is next up to helm 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' after Mike White dropped out of the project earlier this week.
