State obesity rates could skyrocket by 2030

About two-thirds of adults in Mississippi and several other states will be obese by 2030 if obesity rates continue to climb as they are now, an analysis reports today.

More than 16% of American children ages 10 to 17 years were not just overweight, but obese, in 2007. That's a 10% rise from 2003.
