US destroyer collides with oil tanker in Gulf

Collision Between Oil Tanker & U.S. Navy Destroyer

An oil tanker collided with a U.S. Navy destroyer near the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday but no one was hurt and shipping traffic in the waterway, through which 40 percent of the world's seaborne oil exports pass, was not affected, officials said.

 

Chopper crashes in Atlantic with 18 on board

A helicopter carrying 18 people to an offshore oil platform ditched in the Atlantic Ocean off Newfoundland on Thursday, officials said.
