Oscars spread the love to four films

David slew Goliath. The small independent war drama "The Hurt Locker" won six Academy Awards on Sunday night, including best picture and director for Kathryn Bigelow -- marking the first time a woman has taken home such an honor.

 

Academy penalizes 'Hurt Locker' producer

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that should Kathryn Bigelow’s “The Hurt Locker” be given the Best Picture Oscar, one of the film’s four credited producers will not be there to celebrate.
