NBA Playoffs: Los Angeles Lakers vs. San Antonio Spurs - AP

The Los Angeles Lakers had a golden opportunity to take Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round series against San Antonio. The Spurs were struggling offensively and Los Angeles closed within four points midway through the third quarter Sunday. No one was more excited about that than the Lakers' biggest "fan," Kobe Bryant, who watched the national broadcast.

Greg Popovich

The NBA has fined the San Antonio Spurs $250,000 for sending Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green home and not having them available to play against the Miami Heat in a nationally televised game on Thursday night. Stern pretty much had no choice but to fine the Spurs after he came out before the game with a statement saying there would be “substantial sanctions” on the Spurs for their actions.

NBA Finals: OKC, You Let Me Down

NBA Champions: Lebron James & Dwayne Wade

Between the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder, I was rooting for the team in a small town. I was also rooting against Lebron James.

Thunder beat Spurs, move one win from NBA finals

Kevin Durant

Look who's unstoppable now. Forget that incredible San Antonio streak of 20 straight wins. That's ancient history, and the way the Oklahoma City Thunder have taken complete command of the Western Conference finals, the Spurs might soon be finished themselves.

New Found Respect for Oklahoma City Thunder's Serge Ibaka

I’ve always known Serge Ibaka as a shot blocker. He’s almost like a younger, smaller version of Ben Wallace without the rebounding. He plays the power forward and center positions for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In yesterday’s NBA Western Conference Finals game against the San Antonio Spurs, he was a perfect 11 for 11, scoring 26 points mostly from mid-range jumpers. I didn’t know he’s so accurate outside of the painted area. In the past games I’ve seen him play, he’s only good for put-backs.

Spurs get 'nasty' to take 1-0 lead over Thunder

Oklahoma City Thunder

Trailing in the fourth quarter, Gregg Popovich snarled an order in the huddle that the NBA Coach of the Year punctuated with a sharp and angry sweep of his hand....

Spurs' Duncan to paper: I'm not going anywhere

Tim Duncan put to rest any questions about his pending free-agent status. Duncan will not be leaving the San Antonio Spurs when he becomes a free agent on July 1, he told Yahoo Sports‘ Johnny Ludden after a Game 1 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
