Wal-Mart rolls back health care benefits-NYT

Wal-Mart,the nation's largest private employer, is slashing health benefits for part-time workers and raising premiums for many of its full-time staff, The New York Times reported Friday.

Senh: That's demoralizing. Health care rates continue to rise at a time when no one can afford it. Insurers are cold-hearted. That's why they should be regulated.

Jobless claims hit 9-month low, sales rise

The number of U.S. workers filing new claims for jobless insurance hit a nine-month low last week and retailers reported their first monthly sales gain in over a year on Thursday, easing fears that recovery from recession would be unsustainable.
