Never one to abandon a franchise until he's slurped every molecule from its marrow, Sylvester Stallone is enthusiastically preparing for the inevitable Expendables 3 -- and because social media is the poorly spelled gift that keeps on giving when it comes to celebrity pronouncements, we have a few new tidbits about the next sequel, courtesy of Sly himself.

You know a studio got a stinker on their hands when they refuse, refuse!, to release a movie. That was the case with Sylvester Stallone's actioner Bullet to the Head.
Deadline reported last Thursday that Warner Bros pulled the movie from its April 13th release date with on replacement in place. And this is coming from the studio that released Eddie Murphy's The Adventure of Pluto Nash.

It's an action superstar reunion: Arnold Schwarzenegger is joining Sylvester Stallone for the thriller "The Tomb."

Director Wayne Kramer and co-star Tom Jane were replaced by Walter Hill and Christian Slater respectively, but now the film seems to be locked in place.

Those swinging hipsters over at JoBlo (my JoBlo podcast buddies) got their dirty little hands on some brand new stills from the upcoming Stallone action movie The Expendables. Expendable:  capable of being sacrificed in order to accomplish a military objective. THE EXPENDABLES is a hard-hitting action/thriller about a group of mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator.  Once the mission begins, the men realize things aren’t quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal.

The most talked about scene for Sylvester Stallone's upcoming "The Expendables" film finally got filmed this past Saturday morning in Los Angeles.

Ethelmae's Blog reports that Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger all showed up at the Hollywood Presbyterian Church to shoot "a pivotal scene that sets up the whole movie" according to publicist Maria Lascala, a scene that has the three action stars playing off of each other.

Lionsgate will release the action-adventure, starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Eric Roberts, Dolph Lundgren, Charisma Carpenter, Giselle Itie, Brittany Murphy, David Zayas and Amin Joseph, on August 20, 2010. The film follows a team of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator.
