Up, up, and away! Zack Snyder faced an uphill battle with Man of Steel -- Superman really hasn't been a hot cinematic property since Richard Pryor made us line up for Superman III -- but this new trailer makes it look like he's ready to atone for his Sucker Punch sins with a movie that, against all odds, makes Superman super again.

Principal photography for The Lone Ranger was completed recently, but it was not without problems. The shoot was beset by violent dust storms, budget overruns, and even a death on the set. We're curious to see how this $250+ million movie turned out, and we can get our first glimpse of the movie in the trailer below.

Now that the trailer is out for Dredd, I think there's enough footage of the movie to safely pass judgment on the movie regardless of what director Pete Travis and writer Alex Garland may have suggested in their joint statement about withholding it until seeing the finished product in its entirety. Battleship was the first movie trailer out of the gate during Super Bowl 46 but it sets the bar high from the get go. At 1 minute long, the Battleship trailer transformed me from a skeptic into a believer. The movie has transforming robots (and who doesn't like transforming robots?), alien creatures, and promises of mass mayhem all in the name of entertainment. Earth's only hope against these alien invaders and superior technology is this lone battleship and her crew somewhere out in the big blue sea.

Edgar Allen Poe isn't for English majors anymore. We've been psyched about John Cusack's psychological thriller since his spot-on Poe portrait but now, in the newly released trailer, we're able to see the mysterious author come to life."The Raven," from director James McTeigue ("V For Vendetta), tells the Poe's final days, spent chasing a killer whose methods originate in his dark short stories and books.

Days after a handheld camera-shot tape of the first red band "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" trailer was leaked (or planted) onto the web from a movie screening, Sony has officially released its first -- and approved for all ages green band -- preview for its David Fincher-helmed adaptation of the hit Stieg Larsson book.

Out of all the Tekken games I'd have to say Tekken 2 is by far my favorite. I used to jack fools up as Jin, using one of her many cheesy stupid combos that left opponents staggering. But then Tekken 3 came along and I started losing interest. I haven't played the new Tekken 6, so I have no idea if it's just more of  Tekken 5. Tekken 5 seemed cool so I picked it up then played it maybe ten times before realizing I don't care about the series anymore. But a movie? Now that seems cool.

The trailer for Disney's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will be seen in theaters on November 13th, but ComingSoon.net got a sneak peak at the upcoming preview of the epic action-adventure, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton, Alfred Molina and Toby Kebbell.

It's shaping up to be a fantastic year for the contents of my bookshelf, as another of my favorite tomes is getting the big screen treatment. I got giddy back in June over the Rachel McAdams-Eric Bana romance "The Time Traveler's Wife" (due out a week from Friday) and now the trailer for "The Lovely Bones," based on Alice Sebold's 2002 novel, has hit the interwebs.
