Senh: I wonder if digital sales from iTunes and similar services make up for the lost in album sales. Overall, are music sales down? Sure, album sales are down, but it seems like a lot of people are buying music from iTunes.

 

Heidi Montag's album: $2M to make, 1,000 copies sold

Despite a media blitz (mostly detailing her recent plastic surgeries), Heidi Montag's "Superficial" is a total stiff, selling fewer than 1,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
