YouTube has once again beaten Viacom in the long-running copyright case that the companies have spent the last several years fighting. This marks the second time U.S. District Judge Louis Stanton has taken YouTube’s side in the case, agreeing that the streaming video provider was protected by “safe harbor” provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

A New Jersey mother is suing a production company after an instructional breast-feeding video she appeared in was taken by a third party and used to create pornography. A federal court judge ruled last week that Maryann Sahoury's lawsuit against the Meredith Corporation could proceed. Sahoury and her 1-month old daughter demonstrated breast-feeding techniques in a 2010 video designed to help new mothers.

YouTube and Paramount Pictures have reached a deal to make nearly 500 films available to rent online, even while their parent companies continue to feud over a $1 billion lawsuit.
