Bode Miller wins gold medal in men's super combined

U.S. skier Bode Miller won the gold medal in the men's super combined at the Vancouver Winter Olympics on Sunday. It is the first Olympic gold medal of Miller's career and fifth medal overall. He already has three silvers and a bronze. It is his third medal of the Vancouver Games, a U.S. alpine skiing record, and it is the U.S. team's eighth medal at these Games, also a U.S. record.

 

Ohno Wins 7th Medal and Sets U.S. Record

Apolo Ohno won his seventh Olympic medal on Saturday night in the 1,ooo-meter race, making him the most decorated American Winter Olympian of all time.

Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo are sure to remember this Valentine's Day. The Chinese married couple broke their own world record with a mesmerizing performance to open pairs competition at the Winter Olympics on Sunday, and it took until the very last pair – about three hours later – for anyone to come close to topping it. With a score of 76.66, the pair lead two-time world champions Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy of Germany by just .70 points.
