Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony to Have Season-Ending Knee Surgery

Anthony, who appeared in 40 of the Knicks’ 53 games this season, has said he had soreness in his left knee since the team’s second game.

Rajon Rondo Torn ACL: Celtics All-Star Out For Season With Knee Injury, Surgery Expected

Boston Celtics star point guard Rajon Rondo has torn his anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the rest of the season. The team made the announcement during Sunday's game against the Miami Heat. The Celtics had lost six in a row heading into the nationally televised game despite back-to-back triple-doubles by the point guard who had been elected to start for the East in the Feb. 17 All-Star game in Houston.

Say so long to Linsanity. Jeremy Lin will miss the rest of the regular season because he needs knee surgery that will sideline him six weeks and could leave the Knicks without their star point guard in the playoffs - if they make it that far.

 

Warriors' Ellis out for season with concussion

Monta Ellis' season is over. The Golden State Warriors guard was diagnosed with a concussion Monday, a day after a hard fall on his head in a 104-103 loss to the Sacramento Kings. Ellis will not play Monday night at Denver or in Wednesday's season finale at home against Portland.

The Grizzlies have announced that forward Rudy Gay will have season-ending surgery on his left shoulder.

Senh: It's too bad. Rudy Gay averages 18 points a game. They're only two games ahead of the Houston Rockets for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.
