Thick Red Wine — Indie Rock With An Edge

Thick Red Wine, the solo project of New Jersey native Mike Wojciechowski, made its way to the local music scene in April. The San Francisco band plays indie rock, and Wojciechowski’s lyrics are darkly comedic. The single “Marathon,” from the record, will be released Friday. Was there a band you heard when you were young that inspired you to become a musician? The Bay Area will inevitably be tied to my music because I write lyrics about where I am, who I’m with, my convenience-store clerks, my cheap Chinese restaurants, etc.
