Best known as the brooding protagonist of the dramatic series “Mad Men,” Jon Hamm is also a gifted comic actor. In appearances on such shows as “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live,” the actor has mocked his good looks, keeping up with the shows’ more seasoned comedians.
Hamm first hinted at this potential in the web series “Between Two Ferns,” in which interviewer Zach Galifianakis pretends to have contempt for his guest.
Female actors had a big year in Hollywood’s top films in 2015. Daisy Ridley, Jennifer Lawrence and Shailene Woodley jumped, tumbled and fired off arrows as main characters in action franchises. In comedy, Amy Schumer, Melissa McCarthy, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Anna Kendrick headlined films.

What makes an archetypal character like this fun to watch is an unpredictable story, where the audience and protagonist together uncover the mystery.
