(AP) — Protesters have called for Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glanz to resign over how he has handled the case of a 73-year-old reserve deputy who fatally shot a suspect while the unarmed man was being held down by two others. Bates, who served as Glanz's re-election campaign manager in 2012, has said he mistakenly pulled out a handgun rather than a stun gun as Harris lay on the ground.
