For Ty Evans, the route to signing with North Carolina State on Wednesday has been far from a straight line. There was little doubt the highly-touted Palmer Ridge quarterback would have his pick of schools from the time he was a sophomore, when he threw for 3,130 yards and 30 touchdowns to put himself on the national recruiting map.
