Umaine’s Next President Needs These Five Qualities

The presidency of Dr. Susan J. Hunter has elevated public understanding of and respect for the University of Maine’s statewide role as a partner, resource and catalyst for Maine and its people. Now, as she prepares for her well-earned retirement at the end of June, the state’s flagship campus must select a dynamic new leader to build upon that foundation and firmly establish the university as a key player in Maine’s educational, social and economic future. On President Hunter’s watch, UMaine’s enrollment has increased in number and diversity.
