The University of Maine women’s basketball team bounced back from its first America East loss of the season with a 68-54 victory at Stony Brook on Saturday afternoon. Coach Amy Vachon’s club, which had lost at Hartford on Wednesday, improved its record to 12-7 overall and 5-1 in conference play while Stony Brook fell to 14-4 overall and 3-2 in America East. Blanca Millan scored a team-high 20 points for UMaine, including 13 points during the second quarter as the Black Bears built a 38-32 halftime lead.
