United Airlines’ Janet Lamkin Takes On New Role

United Airlines is significantly expanding the role of one of the most prominent women in Bay Area business. The airline named Janet Lamkin, who has been its president of California, to senior vice president of market and community innovation. “My new role is designed to take the work we’ve done in California and replicate it across the system, in other hubs, key locations and even internationally,” Lamkin told me, adding that she will continue to be based in the Bay Area.
