After four months of year-over-year growth, business dipped in April at Orlando-area hotels, likely because of an early Easter this year and the absence of a couple of big conventions in town.    

This storied property, newly refurbished and reopened last year, is the latest player in this city’s lineup of stylish hotels that celebrate Hollywood glamour and history.    

The name of this unusual spot, opened by a married couple last summer, says it all.    

It takes some digging, but beyond Iberian pork and octopus croquettes lies a vegetarian-friendly version of the Barcelona tapas crawl.    

With more than 5,000 hotel rooms, Las Vegas' MGM Grand offers more rooms — by at least a couple thousand — than any single convention hotel in the Orlando market. And Sin City's Mandalay Bay boasts more meeting space than the four-biggest convention hotels in Orlando combined.
