United Airlines won’t transport your pooch until it reviews its pet-handling procedures. The Chicago-based carrier halted animal-transport reservations on March 20 after drawing severe backlash for the death of a dog and additional publicized mishandling of animals. The airline will honor existing reservations for animals traveling in cargo but will not accept new ones until May 1.
