Unm Freshman Wins National Honor

A University of New Mexico freshman has been named national Student of the Year by the Student Television Network for his work as a journalist last year at Las Cruces High School. The student, Gabe Gallegos, is on his way to San Diego today to address the organization’s national convention, an annual event attended by more than 2,500 students, teachers and media professionals.
