(AP) — A group of employees at U.S. District Court in New Haven has chipped in and bought an American flag when the federal government took too long to replace a tattered banner. The New Haven Register reports (http://bit.ly/1uuOmdq ) that Ed Monnerat, a court security officer, said employees were upset a new flag didn't immediately replace another that had been missing for a week or two earlier this month.
