The U.S. embassy in Montenegro published a security notice about an “active security situation” early on Thursday amid reports of a suicide explosive attack, which the government confirmed. The government of Montenegro confirmed that an unknown assailant threw an “explosive device” at the embassy before killing himself with another explosive, the Associated Press reports. An individual attacked the embassy complex with explosives around midnight on Wednesday night, Reuters reported, citing local media.
