U.s. New-home Sales Plunge

Leah Nylen | Bloomberg News (TNS) The Justice Department may file an antitrust complaint as soon as next month aimed at forcing Live Nation Entertainment Inc. to spin off its Ticketmaster ticketing business, according to three people familiar with the matter. The agency has been investigating the entertainment giant for years amid concerns Live Nation has illegally tied its concert promotion services to use of Ticketmaster, in violation of the terms of the 2010 settlement that allowed it to acquire the ticketing company.

Steve Pomerance’s March 22 article in The Post discussed a 2022 poll purporting to show widespread opposition within Colorado to population growth. Pomerance does a disservice to readers by failing to provide important background about this poll. First, the poll was funded by an organization called NumbersUSA, an immigration restriction policy advocacy organization with well-documented and long-standing ties to white supremacist networks.

Interstate 70 eastbound reopened near the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel after closing because of a crash, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. The road closed at 10:46 a.m. between exit 205, U. S. 6; CO 9; Silverthorne and exit 216, U. S. 6; Loveland Pass, eight miles east of Silverthorne, because of a crash at mile point 216 and traffic was held at the tunnel. The road reopened at 11:02 a.m.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser and the U. S. Department of Transportation announced a new partnership at Denver International Airport on Tuesday that will streamline how consumer complaints against airlines are reviewed and resolved. The new process for addressing consumer complaints against air travel companies reinforces state and federal commitments to protect the rights of travelers, according to a Tuesday news release from the Office of the Attorney General. “Consumers deserve to be treated fairly, know what they’re getting, and get everything they pay for when they fly,” Weiser said.

A dozen properties owned by Tavern Hospitality Group founders Frank Schultz and Terry Papay hit the market last week, weeks after the mother-son duo reached a deal to end their legal spat. Denver’s Henry Group Real Estate is marketing the properties, which span from LoHi to the Denver Tech Center, and include a handful of buildings a fly ball away from Coors Field. “There’s some really, really good assets,” Henry Group founder Pat Henry told BusinessDen.
