Video: Romney Speech Fails Fact-check Test

Mitt Romney

Mother Jones’ David Corn, Democratic strategist Krystal Ball and the Chicago Tribune’s Clarence Page dig into whether Mitt Romney’s counter-narrative – both to the President’s pitch and the actual truth – can sell in the swing states.

Senh: They make a good point. Mitt Romney can go around spreading lies with political ads funded by billionaires, and the uninformed will probably eat it up. Barack Obama has never promised that the stimulus will bring unemployment below 8%. Even if he did, he's pretty close to his goal. Unemployment is at 8.2%, down from a high of 10% two years ago.
