The Vikings have finally signed one of their 11 draft picks. The first one to put pen to paper was fifth-round pick Rodney Adams, a wide receiver who will also be in the mix at kickoff returner. Adams has a great backstory, which I wrote about earlier this month. The Vikings, who quickly signed all of their draft picks in 2015 and 2016, have encountered resistance this year from the NFLPA and player agents about some of the language in their rookie contracts, though they reportedly aren’t the only team dealing with this sort of issue. Perhaps the signing of Adams will open the floodgates.
