Last week, an advertising watchdog group called out Walmart’s website for selling more than 100 products labeled as “Made in the U.S.A.” even though they were manufactured in other countries. Now comes a local news report showing that the confusing problem isn’t relegated to Walmart.com. A viewer of ABC11 in Raleigh-Durham noticed that his local Walmart in Wilson, NC, had a “Made In America” display that contained products made elsewhere. The shopper says he was just trying to buy a fan and was willing to spend a couple more bucks for a domestically manufactured product.
