WASHINGTON (AP) — A 5K race in Washington has raised roughly $16,000 for the city's homeless. WUSA-TV reports (http://on.wusa9.com/2exqVzN ) that the Vida Thrive 5K Run and Walk at Hains Point drew more than 600 participants on Sunday morning to raise money to battle homelessness in the District of Columbia. The race was organized by Vida Fitness, a gym in Washington.
