SEATTLE — Washington Federal Inc. on Wednesday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $51.4 million. The bank, based in Seattle, said it had earnings of 61 cents per share. The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 59 cents per share. The holding company for Washington Federal Savings Bank posted revenue of $167.5 million in the period.
