The cleanup at McFaddin Beach scheduled for today was canceled because of inclement weather and volunteers are being redirected to other locations, the Texas General Land Office reported Saturday. The 2015 Texas General Land Office Adopt-A-Beach Spring Cleanup takes place at 30 of Texas' most popular tourist beaches. Volunteers receive data cards, gloves, pencils and trash bags. All volunteers are advised to wear closed-toe shoes, bring sunscreen and plenty of drinking water.
