One can almost imagine TV's popular Ghost Hunters show one day searching for specters in Wells Fargo's San Francisco headquarters given how often the bank is haunted by fines and penalties stemming from its 2008 purchase of troubled Wachovia. The latest evidence came Monday when Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC) was fined $54.8 million for excessive late charges collected by The Money Store and HomEq.
