WESTBROOKVILLE - Braedon Halpin, 15, of Westbrookville, was recently awarded the Boy Scouts of America Medal of Merit.Braedon is a member of Troop 1068, whose scoutmaster is Dan Barbone. Braedon is the son of Scott and Kristin Halpin and he is working towards earning his Eagle Scout rank. The Medal of Merit honors scouts “that have performed an act of meritorious service above and beyond what is normally expected of a youth or adult member of the Boy Scouts of America.
