Why Is The Star Wars Epvii Teaser Dropping So Soon?

I'm not complaining! I've wanted to this for a long long time and I'm soo happy it's finally here. But this is a teaser for a movie that's still over 1yr off. Recently, both Age of Ultron and Furious trailer release in October for a movie in April/May. Are they just trying to get super hype?
