The families of the men and women James “Whitey” Bulger murdered are being offered a deal: Split $822,000 in cash and proceeds from an auction of the mobster’s belongings — including a Stanley Cup ring — in return for never suing the government.The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston confirmed a deal has been mailed out.Mary Callahan, the widow of John Callahan, told the Herald last night that 16 families are included in the offer.
