WILKES-BARRE — The city continues to search for additional funds to pay for the Solomon Creek wall reconstruction. At its work session Tuesday, city council was given a preview of a resolution to designate Mayor Tony George and Controller Darren Snyder as the officials to pursue a $500,000 flood mitigation grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority. A second resolution designates them to pursue a Greenway, Trails and Recreation grant. Both resolutions will be on the agenda for council’s regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m.
