WILKES-BARRE — The emergency room at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital was placed on lockdown Monday evening after a man walked in with an injury. Hospital spokeswoman Renita Fennick confirmed around 8 p.m. that the ER had “briefly” been locked down, but the status had been lifted. According to Wilkes-Barre police, a man “turned up injured” at the emergency room but was “less than forthcoming” about how he got hurt. An officer late Monday said the incident was still under investigation and he could not describe the type of injury the man suffered.
