Downpours dimmed the blue lights out of the town center this year, but they did not dampen the spirits of those celebrating Light it Up Blue – the annual kickoff event for World Autism Month.Participants crowded Town Hall’s basement, listening to speakers, watching puppet shows, enjoying art exhibitions and munching on blue-glazed donuts, joining folks in more than 100 countries around the world in a demonstration of autism awareness.
