Women Entering Michigan Prisons Don't Get Timely Orientations, Audit Shows

Corrections department policy requires that all inmates be processed within four weeks of being placed in custody, but almost 70 percent of female inmates were not processed within 30 days of arriving at an Ypsilanti prison, the audit stated.
