WRIGHT TWP. — It took the Wyoming Valley West boys soccer team less than two minutes to put its stamp on Tuesday’s Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 showdown at Crestwood. The Spartans sent their first warning shot when Pau Caballeno put in a rebound off of a shot from Kyle Yusko with 38 minutes and 52 second remaining in the first half, and then continued to apply pressure throughout the next 78 minutes of play. Valley West’s aggressive style was too much for Crestwood as the Spartans went on to win 3-0 in an important early-season Division 1, and District 2 Class 3A, matchup. “We knew Crestwood was fast, and that kind of thing, and Kyle (Gregaris’) very dangerous upfront,” Wyoming Valley West head coach Charlie Whited said of his game plan.
